Curití is a municipality located in the department of Santander in Colombia, located in the Central East of the Department, nestled in the Eastern Cordillera. The municipality of Curití is bathed by the Chicamocha River, the Cantabara, La Laja, Curití and Cuchicute ravines, as its best hydrographic basins; There are other small slopes such as Boquerón-Tapias, Peñanegra and the Danger, small microbasins. The municipality has three very well defined and characterized regions that are: the eastern one with sloping and steep terrain over the chicamocha canyon, the undulating central and of good agricultural conditions and the western area with discontinuous terrain and rocky blooms that give it a line of importance in mining for its wealth in black marble and limestone.
